INFLUENCERS: HOW TRENDS & CREATIVITY BECOME CONTAGIOUS

Whilst creating my recent work and also from having crits/speaking to fellow designers, I've been thinking and reflecting on this idea of 'Influence' and how trends and creativity catch on and become a fashionable style for people to work in and sell work through this way.


I think the idea of these creatives to what an influencers is, the idea of an idea that is not in the mainstreams conciousness and make it/put it to the mainstream conciousness.

Influence is relative?
This idea of just living and different ways of influencing, for example you see Anthony Gormleys work which is just seen and interpeted by its audience and influences. Places being influenctial, playing an integral part in how you work and how you become who you are - a really nice creative community of people doing creative things.
I like this idea of trends, being born, having their time and dying, it means that this idea of producing work, you need to keep changing, which means it's exciting as a creative as you're not stuck in the same rut/project the whole time. Being in touch with what is going on!

However brands are established through consistancy... Embracing a culture and a scene and empowering it, which is interesting as this is really truely what it is about, my jewellery has come from a big culture for vintage jewellery and acessories, luckily it is also my own taste.
